The characteristic of all labor is that it consumes some part of the short days and years of human life. The essence of all labor is that of the time and life it consumes to deliver a wage or earning to support the life it consumes.

He is sure about His devotion to Lord Rama and He is certain about His desire to fulfil Lord Rama’s purpose. He said to Himself: “I shall search and find Sita. I shall fly in the sky and cross the sea.” However, He undertakes this mission with a sense of absolute modesty and humility. He offers worship and prayers to God and to all creation before He leaps into the sky with a roar of triumph. With that leap, Hanuman’s role in the story of Ramayana reaches heroic proportions and continues to be very exalted till the end of the story.

Good Friday 2024 – Bearing the Whole Burden of the Cross with Whole Patience

Good Friday is the Friday before Easter Sunday. It is observed in commemoration of the crucifixion of Jesus. Friday, March 29, 2024, is observed as Good Friday. I pray to the Son of Man, a native of Nazareth, Galilee to know, and to understand the quality, the ability, or the fact of “Patience.” I am using the phrase “Whole Patience” for Jesus clearly demonstrated His other supernatural abilities. Jesus had several options if He chose not to wait, not to tolerate, not to succumb, and not to experience the horrors of pain and humiliation imposed on Good Friday. Today, the Slave is beholding the Son of Man to learn the Art of Patience. I am “alien” for I have not yet entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth.

I describe myself as Simon a Cyrenian bearing the burden of the cross under compulsion and following Jesus. I am in the City of Jerusalem and yet I am an alien for I am not a citizen of Rome, not a citizen of Israel, not a citizen of Judea, and not a citizen of Galilee. I follow Jesus but I have not yet entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth to claim the citizenship status.
I reflect upon the Great Struggle, the Agony of the Cup held by Jesus and the Burden of the Cross I carry. The completed act of Crucifixion resolved the Agony of the Cup, the Great Struggle endured by Jesus. I am the alien who is present when Jesus cries out as the Agony of the Cup comes to its conclusion.

When speaking about economic security and defending the dignity of people during old age, I wish to add the concept of Human Rights. It is about the attainment of complete Human Rights during old age. The concept of Human Rights and Human Dignity may help people to seek the Right to Life during their old age when they may lose the physical ability to work.

I am not surprised to find that people do not understand the pain that I reveal in my writing. I am not surprised to find that people do not perceive the hardships that I endure. I am not surprised to find that people cannot hear my voice filled with desperation. I seek Peace, Harmony, and Tranquility while preparing to face the challenges posed in the New Year of my life. I seek Wisdom shared by the Septuagint, the Greek version of the Bible known to Jesus during His lifetime. He cautions people about hardened hearts, spiritual blindness, and deafness that makes people unresponsive to human pain and suffering. I should not hope or desire to find people who have the heart to feel for my problems, who have eyes to see my difficulties, and who have ears to listen to my pitiable groans.
